When wife of Bond´s friend  is killed right after the marriage and his friend is mutilated by drug baron Franz Sanchez, Bond (Timothy Dalton) is heading to revenge.

Agent 007  intends to make his revenge despite of M´s order, in which she takes Bond´s licence to kill away. CIA agent Pam Bouvier (Carey Lowell) helps Bond in his fight against Sanchez and corrupted governments in South America.
