Just only acquiring broadcasting licence in China is enough for reckless magnate Elliot Carver (Johnatan Pryce) in his realization of a goal to become the ruler of global communication empire. However China doesn´t want to issue the licence and so Carver sees after sinking of a british ship in Chinese territorial waters and also stealing of it´s pernicious cargo.
James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) has a mission to prevent Carver from unleashing a war between China and Great Britain. A gorgeous chinese spy Wai Lin (Michelle Yeoh) is set out to help Spy 007.
