French firm MDI used the Geneva Motor Show to display a bubble-shaped three-wheeler that runs on air that it plans to roll out this year.
The AirPod can travel up to 137 miles on a 46-gallon tank of compressed air, producing zero emissions on the road, MDI spokesman Sebastien Braud said Wednesday.
Drivers can recharge the air supply in eight hours by plugging the car into electrical outlets or by going to "air stations," a process that takes 2 minutes.
The AirPod, to be priced around $7,500, will be tested by Air France and KLM starting in May, said Braud.
